Israeli troops destroyed seven arms-smuggling tunnels in the Gaza Strip.
IDF soldiers discovered the tunnels, which Palestinians use to smuggle weapons, goods and people across the Egypt-Gaza border, during a military operation in southern Gaza, the IDF said Thursday.
Hamas uses the tunnels, near the southern Gaza town of Rafah, to obtain the weapons it needs to keep Gaza under its rule.
Israel repeatedly has complained that Egypt has not been doing enough to prevent smuggling through the tunnels.
