Israeli police questioned Ehud Olmert again about alleged financial wrongdoing involving a U.S. businessman.

Police spoke with the Israeli prime minister at his Jerusalem residence for about an hour Friday, Israeli media reported.

Olmert reportedly has denied in earlier questioning that his solicitations from Morris Talansky, a Long Island rabbi-turned-businessman, were for personal use. Olmert maintain the funds were legitimate donations to cover campaign debts.

Since then, however, Olmert’s former partner, Uri Messer, has testified otherwise, according to Israel’s daily Ha’aretz. Messer allegedly acted as Olmert’s “banker,” storing the funds for his personal use.
