JERUSALEM (JTA) — Seven Israelis were taken in for questioning on suspicion of encouraging young Israelis to evade the draft.
The suspects were arrested Sunday, questioned and released.
They are suspected of operating two Web sites — New Profile and Target 21 — that encourage draft evasion and offer advice on how to be disqualified from service.
Incitement for draft evasion is a violation of Israeli law.
Police confiscated computers and documents during raids on the suspects’ homes
