JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Arab-Israeli man has confessed to killing an American-Israeli teenager.

Dana Bennett’s remains were found last week, six years after she disappeared in Tiberias after finishing her shift at a local restaurant.

After a gag order was lifted on the case Tuesday, police said that Adwan Yahiya Farhan, 34, of the northern Israeli Arab village of Wadi Hamam confessed to the murder and re-enacted it.

Farhan, who is in jail, also confessed to several other murders, rapes and the attempted honor killing of his sister, according to police.

"Dana Bennett was kidnapped and murdered, but was not raped," area Police Chief Avi Algarissi said Tuesday.

A 22-year-old woman who reportedly witnessed Bennett’s murder also has been held and is considered a murder suspect.
