JERUSALEM (JTA) — The Israeli military is reviewing about 100 complaints accusing soldiers of criminal acts during its military offensive in Gaza.

Military police have so far been ordered to investigate 14 of the cases, the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday, citing unnamed senior military sources. The military refused to comment.

The allegations came from fellow soldiers, Palestinians and nongovernment organizations, the Post reported.

The cases are reviewed by the relevant Israel Defense Forces unit and then presented to the Judge Advocate General, who decides whether to open an official criminal investigation.

Several solders have already been indicted in probes related to Operation Cast Lead.
