I read with tremendous dismay many of the recent comments from Conservative and Reform leaders taking to task President Trump for his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The Israeli headquarters of these movements are in western Jerusalem on Gershon Agron Street and King David Street, respectively. Do these liberal religious leaders really believe that any negotiations will realistically result in these buildings being transferred to the Palestinians or to an independent entity run by the United Nations? Are they advocating this transfer? I highly doubt it.

Why should the Knesset and Israeli government buildings be any different? All that the president has done is recognize the reality of these physical facts on the ground.
