Oct. 29-30: Israeli-American jazz pianist Shai Maestro has made a splash here with his lyrical playing in front of a probing trio. Last year he recorded “The Dream Thief,” his first for the fabled ECM label. Now he brings his trio, with Jorge Roeder on bass and Ofri Nehemya on drums, to one of the city’s best jazz rooms. Dec. 6: “Diaries,” a concert performance piece by Mandy Patinkin.
