JERUSALEM (JTA) — The tires of 34 cars were slashed in an Arab neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem in what police believe is a “price tag” attack.
The vandalism in the Beit Hanina neighborhood on Sunday night also included the message “Goyim (Gentiles) in the land = enemies” spray-painted on a parked bus.
Police are investigating the attack. Several Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem, as well as one in central Israel, have been vandalized similarly in recent months.
Price tag is the strategy adopted by extremist settlers and their supporters to exact retribution for settlement freezes and demolitions or Palestinian attacks on Jews.
