Istvan Csurka, anti-Semitic Hungarian writer and politician, dies

Istvan Csurka, a far-right Hungarian writer and politician who was notorious for his anti-Semitism, has died.

Kazimierz Smolen, an Auschwitz survivor and postwar director of its memorial site, died in the Polish town of Oswiecim where the camp was located.

Milos Pojar, post-communist Czechoslovakia’s first ambassador to Israel, has died in Prague at the age of 71.
