Haaretz reported Friday that the mission would be accredited not to the UAE government, but to the International Renewable Energy Association, an international organization headquartered there.
“This is a country that refuses to recognize Israel as a nation, refuses to allow Israeli citizens to travel in their country, and has banned the teaching of the Holocaust in their schools,” a letter from the leaders to state lawmakers says.
