Israel protests EU labeling policy by quitting some talks

The Foreign Ministry froze the dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying in a statement that it was pulling out of several EU forums.

The European Jewish Congress said Israel faced a “double standard,” while Peace Now said the labels are good for the country.

Israeli officials have been outspoken in their opposition to the new labeling, which was adopted Wednesday by the European Commission.
