Fake bomb discovered near Israeli Embassy in Uruguayan capital

It was the second time in the past six months that the Montevideo embassy was targeted with a false bomb.

An organization called Group of Popular Rebels claimed responsibility for the December attack in which gunmen opened fire with Kalashnikov rifles.

The device, which was found by police dogs in a shopping bag, forced the evacuation of the Montevideo building with the embassy and other offices.
