Bill would require referendum on ceding territory

A Knesset committee has approved a bill that would require a referendum on any Israeli government decision to give up territory.

The Palestinian Authority’s Education Ministry approved a history textbook that gives both the Palestinian and Israeli sides of their conflict.

Eighty-seven U.S. senators signed a letter urging President Obama to keep the Israelis and Palestinians at the negotiating table.
