Thank you for writing that article about my Uncle Mickey [Marcus] (“Remembering Israel’s First General,” Oct. 30). I was 14 when he died and remember him well. My father was a gunrunner for him a very long time ago when Mickey first started creating the armed forces in Israel. In large part it saved Israel.
