‘Son of Saul’ nominated for best foreign language Oscar

Fresh off its Golden Globe win, the Hungarian Holocaust drama was named to the shortlist in a Los Angeles ceremony.

So much for “Holocaust fatigue.” Two of the nine semifinalists for best foreign film deal with the Nazi genocide and its aftermath.

Two American-Jewish filmmakers also made the cut and are among the favorites to win for top documentary.
