Peres hosts Costa Rican president at partition fete

The presidents of Costa Rica and Israel, both Nobel Peace Prize winners, celebrated together the anniversary of the partition of Palestine.

Reports about a deal to secure the release of a captured Israeli soldier are misleading, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

Some 25 new immigrants from five South American countries accompanied President Shimon Peres on his return to Israel.
