Poll: Israelis have positive view of U.S.

A majority of Israeli Jews have a positive view of the United States, according to a new survey.

Shimon Peres said “the leadership of President Obama will pave the way to both a regional agreement and meaningful bilateral negotiations.”

Condoleezza Rice defended the U.S. decision to hold Palestinian elections in 2006, even though Hamas won.
