Baptists as well as Jews are being persecuted in Roumania, according to reports made at the world Baptist convention in session here.

Greek orthodox natives persecute Baptists and Jews in the class of unbelievers; raid their meetings, maltreat women and attack men, it was charged.

Congressman William D. Upshaw of Georgia announced, following today’s disclosures, that he would initiate a movement to have the Roumanian Government call a halt to these practices.
