Clergy Controls Lithuania, Says Intelligence Officer

That Lithuania is now “the most oppressed country in the world” and that “it is ruled by the Christian Democratic Party, headed by the Roman Catholic clergy and therefore pro-Polish, reactionary and anti-Semitic” is the charge made in the New York World by Casimir Pilenas, former director of Political Intelligence in Lithuania.

Kowno, he declares, is in the hands of “Jews and officials”.
