The present tension, bred of the nervous and excited mood of the German people, is being exploited by the anti-Semites to foster their propaganda. The order of the Reich government forbidding the anti-Fascisti demonstration has added to the acuteness of feeling of both sides.
Proclamations have lately appeared, posted by anti-Semites, in which Germany is urged to beware of a Jewish “putsch” aiming to bring Germany under Jewish dominion. The “Deutscher Zeitung” which is edited by the former Socialist Maurenbrecher, in a recent issue declared Communists directed by Karl Radek are under Jewish leadership and warns the Germans to beware of them.
