U.S. Officer Says Police Saw American Jew Attacked

In a statement today in the local “Adverul”, an American army officer named Reiter, who witnessed the attack by a mob of students on tie American Jew. Haimowitz, at the Barlad railway tation, declares that station police were present during the attack but made no attempt to interfere, although they were requested to call off the invalid’s assailants.
