The Emir Abdullah, ruler, of Transjordania, is facing a serious rebellion led by the Sheik of Es Salt.

Three thousand Arabs have gathered under the banner of the Sheik who handed the Emir an ultimatum demanding that a parliamentary government be instituted, that all foreigners be expelled and that the tax system be revised in such fashion that all shall be made to bear an equal share of the Government’s burden.
