If Ashari Pasha, ex-Premier of Iraq, is proceeding to London for the purpose of negotiating for modifications to the Anglo-Mesopotamian Treaty, in accordance with the decision of the Mesopotamian National Assembly, especially with regard to the financial provisions of the treaty. It will also be his task to watch the developments in the Mosul question.
It will be recalled that the National Assembly of Mesopotamia. agreed to ratify the Anglo-Mesopotamian Treaty only on the condition that Great Britain would not permit the district of Mosul to be separated from Mesopotamia and transferred to Turkey.
