Salonika Municipal Council Adopts Sunday Closing Law

A Sunday closing law, obligatory on the entire population, was passed yesterday by the Municipal Council, in spite of the protests of the Jewish representatives. This law must be confirmed by the Greek Government before it can become effective.

It is considered that if passed, the bill will cause much damage to the Jewish merchants of Salonika.
