Phillip Schiedemann, the leader of the Moderate Socialists, during his speech yesterday in the German Parliament, denounced in strong terms General Ludendorff, saying that he was mainly responsible for the defeat of Germany. He also called the anti-Semitic faction cowardly, saying that while the Jewish Socialist Frank and others like him had voluntarily joined the German Army and given their lives on the battlefield to stay away from danger, and busying themselves with anti-Semitic propaganda.
