Emigration of Jews Will Hurt Commerce and Credit Bulgarian Government Warns

The Bulgarian Government issued a statement to the population urging it in strong terms to refrain from the practice recently initiated in several regions of Bulgaria, of extorting money from well-today Jewish citizens under the threat of death.

“If this practice continues”, the Government statement says, “the emigration of the Jews which has already started will increase, and will seriously affect the commerce and credit of Bulgaria.
