Great excitement prevails among the Jewish workers in the colonies of Kabara and Zychron Jacob owing to differences of opinion between them and the management of the Pica.

The Palestine Colonization Association (the name under which the Ica operates in Palestine) discharged 100 Jewish workers at a time when it retained 450 Arabs. The remaining Jewish workers declared a strike and forced the offices of the Pica at Zychron Jacob to close. Leaders of the workers proceeded to Haifa to negotiate with the central office of the Pica.
