(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The first girls’ agricultural school in Palestine was opened in the colony Nahalal in the presence of a large gathering, in which many institutions participated.

Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, presided at the exercises. He thanked the Zionist women throughout the world who established this school. Lady Samuel, speaking in Hebrew, praised the activities of the international Zionist Women’s Organization, declaring the school was its best creation.

Governor Abramson, governor of Northern Palestine, welcomed the school in behalf of the Palestine government. Badri Bey, a high official in the Egyptian Ministry of Education, greeted the school on behalf of the Egyptian government, urging closer educational connection between Egypt and Palestine.
