The fiscal year just closed shows a surplus of £1,200,000 on the part of the Palestine government, according to a report issued here.

The profits netted by the working of the railways which are run by the government amount to £100,000, the same report indicates.

It is understood that there is a likelilood that the British government will claim a part of the surplus for paying off money advanced to Crown Agents for the Colonies on account of a future loan which will amount to twice the total of the present surplus.
