Jewish Youth Congress is Opened in Paris

The Jewish Youth Congress was opened here yesterday in the presence of 400 delegates representing fourten countries.

Monsieur Bedin, president of the Paris Municipality, welcomed the delegates in behalf of the City. Messages were received from Edouard Herriot. former Prime Minister of France. Dr. Israel Levi, Chief Rabbi of France and Chaim Nachman Biahk.

The Congress decided to send a message of greetings to Achad Ha’am. Hebrew philosopher and essayist, on the occasion of the celebration of his seventieth birthday.

M. Aime Pailieres was elected Chairman of the Congress. Addresses were delivered by Messieurs Cercos. Netter and Zlatopolsky of France. Baktchinski of England and Burstein of Palestine.
