The report that the Palestine Government is advancing £30,000 to the municipality of Tel Aviv for the purpose of road building and easing the unemployment situation has been confirmed officially by Sir Ernest Dawson, who was recently appointed Commissioner of Lauds in Palestine.

The transaction of this loan will be carried through on the usual financial terms, Sir Ernest stated in an interview with the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The Zionist Organization has also granted £15.000 for the same purpose.

Sir Ernest, who returned today from England, will immediately commence the work of completing the preparations for the comprehensive registration of land titles in Palestine which will regulate boundary and other disputes and will introduce reform in the country’s revenue system.
