Alarming reports have been published by the Ullstein Newspaper Syndicate.
The reports, coming via Vilna, state that anti-Polish and anti-Jewish pogroms occurred in Kovno yesterday. A battle between various military detachments took place in the streets of Kovno. Grinius, former president of the Republic, a liberal, is reported as having been murdered, according to the Ullstein despatches.
