Two Classes of Citizens in Poland, Sovereign Poles and Others, Grabski Says

Stanislaw Grabski, one of the leaders of the national democrats, former Minister of Education and one of the principals in the Polish Jewish agreement negotiations, charged the Galician Zionist leaders with the failure of the agreement, in an interview with the representative of a Jewish newspaper here.

The “Ugoda” (the Polish Jewish agreement) was not realized because of the fact that the Galician Zionists capitulated to the other groups in the Club of Jewish Deputies, he stated.

The former education minister then declared that in his opinion, the citizenry of the Republic of Poland consists of two classes: the Poles who are the sovereign rulers of their country and all other inhabitants who are only citizens of the second order. Grabski, in attempting to justify this division, charged that “Jewish patriotism is directed in the first place to Palestine.”
