Dr. Benjamin Donath, Bible scholar who returned here from Rome, repeated his statement that the Vatican Bible Commission, now engaged in preparing a new edition of the Bible, is seeking to correct those passages in which God is described as a God of Vengeance.
Dr. Donath stated that he went to Rome at the invitation of the Vatican Commission where, with Cardinal Garquet and Bishop Quentin, Hebraists, he went over the passages concerning God as a God of Vengeance, which may be interpreted in two ways.
Dr. Donath expressed confidence that in the new Bible edition, errors will be eliminated.
