Young People’s League for Bigger Role of Youth on Synagogue Boards

The Young People’s League of the United Synagogue of America held its fifth Annual Convention on Sunday at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism, New York City.

The convention decided upon a program of expansion embracing six regional districts. Resolutions urging the synagogues of America to allow the youth greater participation on their governing boards; endorsing the efforts for a five-day working week; expressing gratification at the Marshall-Weizmann agreement; urging the Jewish youth of America to participate in the upbuilding of Palestine; urging the President of the United States to use every effort to arbitrate the differences between our country and Mexico.

Herbert J. Roeder of New York was elected president.
