A miniature Polish Republic, similar in structure to the “first Jewish region” in the district of Charkoff, was created in southern Ukraine by the Soviet Government. The new republic consists of fifty villages.
At the first conference of the village representatives, 78 delegates participated, including representative of the German, Jewish and Ukrainian minorities of the “republic.”
