The prospects of averting the danger of a restriction against the Schechita in Great Britain were brighter yesterday as the House of Commons was about to resume the second reading of the anti-Sehechita bill introduced by Noel Boston. Labos M. P.
Mr. Buston was approached by representatives of Jewish organizations concerning the matter but the Labor member expressed determination to proceed with the bill. It was learned, however, that other parliament members who are supporting the bill, have agreed to include an amendment which would safeguard the schechita.
It was learned that members of all the three parties in the House will urge that the Schechita prohibition should not be passed, it was learned following conferences hold with representatives of the three parties by Samuel Finbargh. Conservative. The result of these efforts will be that the bill will not be proceeded with until a new date is tixed Mr. Finbargh, when interviewed by press representatives yesterday, expressed his conviction that the Schechita is not calangered in Great Britain.
