Five Roumanian Jewish leaders were elected to represent the Jewish population in the Roumanian Senate, the election returns show.

The newly elected Jewish senators are: Horia Karp, Dr. Jacoby, Dr. Weiselberg, Eli Berkowici, chairman of the Bucharest Kehillah and Dr. Niemirover, Senator ex-officic, representing the Jewish religion.

An analysis of the election returns shows, the “Vitorul” says, that the vote of the Jewish population contributed largely towards the victory of the Liberal Party.

It was also stated today that it is possible the Socialists will return to Parliament the Jewish leaders Dr. Gelercer and Dr. Fistiner.
