With the sum of £E.29.063 received by the Jewish National Fund in August, the total receipts since the inception of the Fund amount to £E.2,008.700, for the most part collected in very small sums.
The receipts during August are a considerable increase over those of the same month last year, when the income was only £E.25,135. The principal contributing countries during the month of August were: America £E.19.017. South Africa £E.1.101, Poland £E.780. England £E.761, Italy £E.702. Germany £E. 679, and Palestine £E.545.
From October 1st, 1926, to August 31st. 1927. the receipts amounted to £E.249.976 as against £E.251,674 in the same period of last year.
