French Chief Rabbi: Levi Pays Visit to Algeria

M. Israel Levi, the Grand Rabbi of France, has left for Algeria in order to be present at the ceremony of unveiling a monument to the Algerian Jews who fell in the War. The monument is being erected by the Jewish community of Algiers.

This is the first time that a Grand Rabbi of France has visited the Jewish communities of North Africa, Rabbi Levi has gone there at the invitation of the Jewish consistory of Algeria.
