A demonstration of anti-Semitic students protesting against the proposed modification of the numerus clausus law was prohibited by the Budapest police.

The leaders had planned to gather 5,000 students before the House of Parliament. The police, however, took strong measures to prevent the demonstration.

An interpellation to the government was introduced in parliament by the Liberal opposition. The Liberal deputies asked the government how long will the Jewish students be compelled to absent themselves from the colleges because of the riots.
