Otto H. Kahn, Jules S. Pathe, Adolph Zukor, Col. Michael Friedsam, Bernard F. Gimbel, Col M. Robert Guggenheim, were among contributors to the fund of $250,000, being raised by Father Francis P. Duffy for the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church of West 42nd Street. Otto Kahn stated ## appointed myself treasurer, explaining that the purpose was ‘do something for Father Duffy,’ something by Protestants, Jews and Catholics, bankers, lawyers and prize-fighters.” Fifty thousand dollars was contributed by five men three of whom were Otto H. Kahn, Adolph Zukor, and Jules S. Pathe.
Guggenheim Brothers contributed $2,000, and Clarence Dillon $1,000 toward the annual budget campaign of the Young Womens’ Christian Association, at a luncheon in the Central Branch of the Y. W. C. A. on Lexington Avenue, it was announced.
