Because of the fact that the Awakening Magyars did not discuss anti-Semitism, they were prohibited to hold their national convention in Miskolcz.

The agenda of the convention included a discussion on anti-Semitism. When the police discovered that instead the Awakening Magyars were engaged in a heated debate on the features of the Treaty of Trianon, the convention was ordered adjourned.
