Mordecai David Brandstadter, Hebrew writer and one of the pioneers of the Haskalah movement in Galicia, died here today at the age of 94.

Brandstadter was the author of numerous satiric poems, short stories and novels written in Hebrew. He was a close collaborator of Peretz Smolenskin and the Hebrew poet, Jehudah Leib Gordon.
