The strike of fifty teachers in the Jewish elementary schools in the Roumanian capital was ended today. The teachers demanded payment of their December salaries. Eleven schools with an enrollment of 1,000 children were closed for several days on account of the conflict.

A debate between Professor Harry Elmer Barnes of Smith College and Rabbi Nathan Krass of Temple Emanu-El was held Wednesday night at the Community Church, New York. Their topic was “Do We Need a New Concept of God?”
