Fighting among the tailors unions continued yesterday, resulting in serious injuries to five Jewish workers. An attempt to bring about a compromise between the warring Communist faction and the members of the Jewish labor party, Bund, was made by the Left Poale Zion, Zionist Socialist Party.
Clashes between Bundist and Communist members of the tailors union continued yesterday around the shops where the Communist workers are striking while the Bundists continue to work. A decision not to join the strike was taken by non-Bundist Jewish union members at a conference held during the day.
The Central Council of the Bund unions issued a warning to its members to abstain from participating in the clashes, otherwise they will be excluded, it was declared.
In their attempt to bring about peace between the factions, the Poale Zion Executive addressed an invitation to the Bundist Central Committee and the Communist Central Committee for the holding of a united conference to cease this “fighting among brothers.”
