The Roumanian Minister of Religions was asked to explain and apologize for the insult to a Jewish delegation which came to participate in the Roumanian Union celebrations at Buzeau.

In an interpellation introduced into the Senate by Chief Rabbi Dr. Niemerower, the details of the event at Buzeau where the Roumanian Bishop asked the Jewish delegation to leave the platform because he did not like to sit together with the Jews, were recited. The government was urged to make amends and to inform the Roumanian clergy that the constitutional guarantee of equality is applicable to the Jewish religion as well as to any other authorized cult. The Minister of Religions in his reply stated that the government regrets exceedingly the occurrence at Buzeau. The Ministry, he added, would wait until the Senate takes action on the matter.
