Confer Belgian Crown Order on Jewish Merchants

The Order of the Belgian Crown was conferred on Solomon Frei and Chaim Finkelstein, Belgian Jewish diamond merchants, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the diamond bourse.

The president of the bourse, Sam Tolkovsky. in an address which was broadcast by radio, pointed to the importance of the diamond industry for Belgium, emphasizing the part played in the development of the industry by Jewish merchants who came here from Eastern Europe.

Minister of Trade and Industry Hymmans conferred the decorations.
