The number of Jewish children attending school in the cities, towns and villages of the Ukraine is 167,000. They are 80% of the entire number of Jewish children of school age in the district.
An interesting fact to be noted from the figures is that 26% of the total number of Jewish pupils go to the Yiddish schools.
