Delegates from posts throughout the country assembled at the National Encampment of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States, in session this week end at Lake Huntington, N. Y.
The convention was presided over by Assemblyman Julius S. Berg. One hundred and forty delegates, represent-12,000 members were present.
Resolutions adopted endorsed Congressman Fish’s bill allowing eight dollars monthly for hospitalized uncompensated veterans, asked Congress to amend the immigration law to permit blood relatives of veterans to enter the country outside the quota, asked passage of a congressional measure increasing pensions to Spanish-American War Veterans, and endorsed the Hyam Salomon monument in the City of New York.
Assemblyman Julius S. Berg was reelected Commander-in-Chief. A message of greeting was received from President Hoover.
